Hats off to Plunket College of Further Education 2018 Graduates

There were great celebrations at Plunket College on May 22nd 2018, Graduation Day.   Proud teachers, parents, family and friends congratulated students from the Post Leaving Certificate (PLC), Back to Education Initiative (BTEI) and Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme (VTOS) programmes at the Graduation Ceremony in the college.

Congratulations to all graduating students and those who were awarded Best Student Award in each class group presented by Counsellor Andrew Keegan, Chairperson of Plunket College of Further Education Board of Management.  Congratulations especially to Lauren Byrne from the Introduction to Counselling & Psychology class who received the Student of the Year Award.

Also celebrating on Tuesday was the Leaving Certificate group whose theme this year was "friendship".  Some students wrote personal reflections on how their friendships developed over the years and how important their friends were to them.  Many thanks to Fr John Jones who celebrated mass for graduating students and their families.

Congratulations also to Repeat Leaving Certificate students who celebrated with their coordinator Susan Cribben and teachers on Wednesday 23rd May.

Plunket College of Further Education wishes all graduating students Best of Luck in their upcoming exams.

Repeating may seem like the end of the world but the dedicated and hard-working teachers and staff at Plunket College make repeating less stressful.  I'd recommend it to anyone.

Denise, Repeat Leaving Certificate

"I never thought that I would go to university because of Leaving Cert points, never mind have the opportunity to study in an area (Psychology) where it is so difficult to get a place.  I owe how well I did in university in no small part to the year I spent on the Counselling & Psychology course in Plunket College; it was indispensable in getting me where I am now, a second year Psychology student in NUI Maynooth.
