Information / Enrolment Sessions
Enrolments for the Repeat Leaving Certificate course will take place on the following dates:
            Thursday         19th August     9.30 – 12.30
            Monday           23rd August     9.30 – 12.30
            Wednesday      25th August     9.30 - 12.30
            Monday           30th August     9.30 – 12.30

and on an on-going basis after 30th August while places remain.

Enrolment Requirements

1. Enrolment Fee:         €300

 

Course Fee €127*, as determined by the Dept of Education & Skills, and materials charge €173

Cheques / postal orders / bank drafts are accepted, payable to CDVEC.
(*€127 fee exempted on production of medical card held by  Parents / Guardians / student – must be valid to the 1st February 2011)

(*VTOS students fees exempted and books free)

2. Photographs (two Passport type, with name on the back of each photo)
3. Birth Certificate – will be checked but not retained
4. Leaving Certificate Results (official copy) – will be checked but not retained
5. Reference from previous school (see Personal Reference Document)
6. Pupil / PPS Number
7. School Roll Number

Why repeat the Leaving Certificate

Many leaving certificate students for various reasons do not reach their potential first time round. They can improve their performance significantly if fortunate enough to get another chance.
Students may repeat the Leaving Certificate Course for a number of reasons:

1. To obtain points required for entry to:
   a) Degree course at University, or
   b) Certificate / Diploma / Degree course at the Institutes of Technology.

c) To obtain the Leaving Certificate standard required for entry to a PLC Course

d) To obtain the full Leaving Certificate standard required for entry to and promotion in many careers.

Many thousands of students have successfully availed of this second chance in the Repeat Leaving Certificate Course in Plunket College since its inception in 1970.
