This course aims to give adults basic woodwork and home improvement skills in order to enhance career and life choices. Students will learn to make useful and attractive articles for the home. The course will also give students an opportunity to improve their reading, writing and mathematical skills.

Students are prepared for FETAC Level 3/4 Certification
Aim
This course is designed for adults who wish to study for a Leaving Certificate qualification
in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Students will be able to avail of the support of a
Class Tutor and Guidance Counsellor.

There are no minimum educational requirements.
N.B. If there is not a sufficient number of VTOS applicants to form an Adult Leaving
Certificate class, VTOS applicants may access the mainstream Leaving Certificate courses.

Aim
This programme is intended primarily for students whose first language is not English. There is a strong emphasis on Language and Literacy skills. The course also provides a foundation in Business and Information Technology for students who may wish to progress to further studies.
