Since it opened in 1967, under the authority of the City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee, Plunket College has always been open and inclusive in its admission of students. The college offers a very extensive range of courses and programmes to students at different levels and age ranges, both by day and by night.

The college expects high standards of behaviour and commitment from its students and all are required to comply fully with college rules and procedures as outlined in the college Code of Behaviour.

The college is committed to supporting each student to develop to his/her full potential and provides a range of supports, including resource/learning support where required, pastoral and personal development programmes and guidance and counselling.
