“Last August I received an invitation through the Social Welfare Office to attend Plunket College
regarding courses that were available. As a sixty two-year old who had not been near school or
college since 1954 I need not tell you that I was very apprehensive as to my capabilities regarding the courses that were available. However, I accepted the offer and began my studies at the end of September. What I did was one of the best decisions I ever made, the teachers have been absolutely great. Their patient guidance with myself and the other students with our initial slowness allowed us to slowly build up our confidence.”
